M&M’s free cinema ticket promotion returns

As a host of blockbusters make their way to the silver screen this summer, Mars Chocolate’s Sweet Sundays promotion is also set to return.

Great value for consumers, Sweet Sundays hits stores following a hugely successful campaign in 2012. Back and bigger than ever, the promotion is redeemable with the purchase of four core-size or two large-size special packs across Mars’ bestselling Bitesize portfolio.

The campaign, fronted by the red and yellow M&M’s characters, but also including Mars favourites Minstrels, Maltesers and Revels will run from 7 June until 8 November, timed perfectly for the summer’s blockbusters, including Superman – Man of Steel, The Great Gatsby, Thor 2 and Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The 2012 campaign attracted 37% new shoppers to the Mars brand. This year, with more cinemas involved and the introduction of mobile technology to redeem tickets, the Sweet Sundays promotion looks set to be a box-office hit.

Mars Chocolate UK is supporting the campaign with a significant marketing investment, including four weeks of TV support. Retailers are encouraged to stock up on the range and make the most of the accompanying POS units to maximise on this ATL investment.
