Walkers debuts ‘Choose or Lose!’ TV advert

PepsiCo-owned Walkers is supporting the launch of its ‘Choose or Lose!’ campaign with a new TV advert that will air for six weeks from the end of this month.

The savoury snacking brand is offering customers the chance to keep their favourite flavours or swap them for a new flavour, which is a favourite from another country.

The ‘Choose or Lose!’ campaign was launched at the end of July to give customers the chance to decide the fate of some of Walkers’ most popular flavours. Until 22 October, shoppers will be able to vote between classic and new flavours either by purchasing a single pack or voting online.

The decision will be between three classic flavours and three new flavours: salt & vinegar versus lime & black pepper from Australia; prawn cocktail versus paprika from Spain; and smoky bacon versus bacon & cheddar from the US. The outcome will be determined by single packs bought in store (80%) and by the online vote (20%).

Thomas Barkholt, marketing director at PepsiCo, says, “We’ve really highlighted the opportunity to vote in our new TV advert as we know our customers feel passionately about their favourite flavours and like to have their say. We’re confident that the new TV ad will create awareness and inspire demand for ‘Choose or Lose!’, driving sales of Walkers crisps for retailers.”
