Crips wins Holland & Barrett contract

UK snack producer Crips has announced its second deal with a major national store in less than three months after securing a contract to supply to 600 Holland & Barrett shops nationwide.

The latest deal is the largest so far secured by Crips for its Crips 99Cals snack, and comes just a few weeks after Crips began selling in Morrisons’ top 300 stores.

The award-winning crunchy oven-baked wheat and potato snacks, which have 70% less fat than traditional fried potato crisps, are also available in selected Tesco stores and in 67 Waitrose outlets. “We are delighted to announce our second major national deal in less than three months,” says Crips managing director Gareth Smith. “Having our Crips 99Cals on the shelves of Holland & Barrett, which has a store on virtually every town and city high street, will make it easier for our customers to buy our snacks. This listing is the biggest in terms of store numbers that we have achieved.”

Crips 99Cals, which are available in 22.5g packs, have just 99 calories per pack. They are available in three flavours – Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Mature Cheddar Cheese & Spring Onion, and Thai Sweet Chilli. All three flavours are now on sale in Holland & Barrett. They have no GM ingredients, no monosodium glutamate, are trans-fat free, have no artificial colours or preservatives, contain heaps of natural flavour, and are suitable for vegetarians.

RRP for a pack of Crips 99Cals in Holland & Barrett is 70 pence.
