Barratt adds sour and coconut sweets to portfolio

Tangerine Confectionery has extended its recently returned Barratt range with the launch of two new products: Sour Bon Bons and Fruity Coconut Mushrooms.

The Barratt Sour Bon Bons are chewy, sour fruit balls available in 180g sharing bags (RRP £1.00). Each pack offers a variety of flavours including: sour cherry, apple, lemon, and blue raspberry.

Fruity Coconut Mushrooms are fruity sweets covered in coconut. Each pack features lemon, orange, raspberry, blackcurrant, and lime flavours.

Both products have been launched as part of the campaign announcing the return of Barratt, and are supported by the £2.6m initial investment, which intends to put a spotlight on the revitalised brand and its key product offering.

Russell Tanner, marketing and category director at Tangerine Confectionery, says, “The return of Barratt and the launch of several new products is incredibly exciting for consumers and retailers, and we’re expecting our new products to be hugely popular with sweet lovers of all ages.

“We expect all this year’s NPD to fly off shelves as consumers enjoy a modern twists on their classic favourites, while welcoming back the Barratt brand they know and trust.”

Both new products are available at Poundland and Home Bargains, along with independent retailers across the UK.
