Islands Chocolate arrives in the UK
Start-up chocolate company Islands Chocolate has officially launched in the UK.
200 employees grow and manage the brand’s own cocoa in St Vincent, Caribbean. The chocolate bars are also produced on the island.
Wilf Marriott, managing director of Islands Chocolate, comments, “Our aim is to get our customers to feel a part of our journey.
“From setting cacao seeds in our nursery, to planting the young plant out in the field, to harvesting through to the exact science of fermenting and drying the beans before transporting to our kitchens where the crafting of chocolate takes place.
“So, uniquely, we are involved every step of the way. We want to share this experience with our customers as we feel that this journey feeds through into the exquisite taste of our bars.”
