Catch you in Cologne for ISM and ProSweets
Within the next few days, the biggest names in the global confectionery sector will descend on Cologne in Germany for ISM and ProSweets.
Confectionery Production will of course be there to play its part as the only UK magazine for the sector also to be exhibiting.
We shall be looking forward to meeting our many friends from across the industry, so please do call by on our stand at Hall 10.1, B21 at ProSweets. If for any reason you miss us, then please do make sure you leave a card or drop us an email and we’ll follow up with you as soon as we are able to during or soon after the trade fairs.
From a personal perspective, this will be my third time these major events, and I’ve no doubt that 2019’s editions are destined to prove every bit as interesting and thought-provoking as has been demonstrated in previous years.
With exhibitors from around the world at both fairs, the sheer melting pot of ideas, concepts and showcases for new products and equipment have been fascinating to observe and report on. As a journalist, these events have certainly kept me on my toes in keeping up with all the major trends that have emerged during the shows.
I’m keenly anticipating taking in some of the focus sessions from leading industry speakers, with showcases for healthier-eating trends and product reformulation among the subject matters high on the agenda for this year.
Beyond the array of exhibition stalls and special talks, there’s also a valuable opportunity to socialise with friends and colleagues from around the world, so here’s hoping that this year will be just as enjoyable for us all.
So much has happened within the sector over the past 12 months that should be rightly celebrated, and I’m sure that ISM and ProSweets will offer up plenty more key indicators for the year ahead within this fascinating sector.
