Christmas ice cream offering

Yorkshire ice cream maker Yorvale has drawn on York’s confectionery heritage to inspire a new ice cream for Christmas.

Chocolate Orange Ripple is a smooth, chocolate ice cream that is flavoured with a subtle orange essence and rippled with tangy Jaffa orange.

Of the launch, Yorvale’s development director Lesley Buxton said: “Chocolate Orange is an indulgent, gluten free option for celebration desserts and Christmas is no exception. It goes very well with the alternative toffee, chocolate and orange Christmas pudding flavours.”

For traditionalists, Yorvale has also launched an Indulgent Marzipan ice cream that is a smooth, dairy ice cream that excites the palate with its delicate marzipan flavour and awakens the taste buds with pieces of marzipan.

The new products join Plum and Armagnac and Mince Pie ice cream to complete the Vale of York ice cream maker’s Christmas offering that is available from restaurants and supermarkets. A 500ml tub costs £3.49.

Yorvale also produces an extensive range of frozen yogurt (Yoryog), dairy ice cream and sorbets that are available nationwide via selected wholesalers and from farm shops, independent retailers, Waitrose, Booths, Asda, Tesco and Morrisons throughout Yorkshire.
