New look for Easter 2014

Sporting a brand new look for 2014, Mars Chocolate UK’s much loved Easter range is gearing up to make a welcome return to stores.

Launched for confectionery’s most hotly anticipated season, Mars Chocolate UK’s 2014 Easter range will include a number of new products, as well as the return of bestselling favourites. In addition, 2014 will see the launch of fresh new packaging across the entire Galaxy range as well as an even bigger Malteser range, capitalising on the fantastic success of Maltesers Teasers.

Looking ahead to 2014, Mars Chocolate UK has reinvigorated its bestselling range, featuring a portfolio of world famous brands including M&M’s, Mars, Galaxy and Maltesers.

The range includes classic branded medium and large eggs, as well an updated range of luxurious eggs. Returning favourites also include a selection of self-eat products and boxed indulgences, which are perfect for a personal treat and for gifting. Mars Chocolate is advising retailers to stock up on Easter treats early in order to tap into higher consumer spend during the season.

Since first appearing on shelves six years ago, the Malteser bunny has quickly become an Easter must-have. Joining the Maltesers selection this year are Maltesers Teasers. Already a favourite for many, 2014 will see Maltesers Teasers make an appearance as a perfectly packaged large egg.

This year’s range will also see items from chocolate lovers’ favourite brand, Galaxy, launched with a fresh new look. Following the rebrand of the entire range in 2013, Mars Chocolate’s 2014 Easter range has stylishly re-designed packaging, with bolder colours, classic tones and contours that emulate flowing melted chocolate and stand out in-store.

Nicola Lacey, central sales director, Mars Chocolate UK, says: “Easter offers retailers a range of opportunities to boost confectionery sales and tap into consumer trends. At Mars Chocolate we are committed to ensuring that retailers are well prepared for the season so that they can make the most of the opportunities that the holiday has to offer. With Easter falling towards the end of April this year, retailers have the chance to sell gifts and treats over an extended period.

“Easter is an exciting time for the chocolate confectionery market with so many new options, but it is also important that retailers don’t neglect the other mini-seasons that pop up during Springtime; Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day all offer gifting opportunities that retailers should tap in to.“
