National Doughnut Week

National Doughnut Week, a time for celebrating doughnuts made by independent craft bakers, coffee shops and businesses across the UK while raising money for The Children’s Trust, will be held from 10-17 May.

CSM, a bakery ingredients and products supplier supports the event. Helen Sinclair, marketing manager for CSM, says, “We are thrilled to be supporting National Doughnut Week for another year. It’s a fantastic way to promote the talent of bakers, help increase businesses sales all while raising funds for a fantastic cause, The Children’s Trust charity.”

Consumers can show their support by purchasing freshly made doughnuts from participating bakers, or by holding their own ‘doughnut party’ to help raise money for a worthy cause.

Bakers can sign up online at the National Doughnut Week website, and participants will be sent a coordinated point of sale kit funded by CSM. Registration costs £5 per shop of a maximum of £25 for five or more shops. CSM is also offering each sign up £10 off Craigmillar or Kielder doughnut concentrate.

Phil Tufnell, vice president of The Children’s Trust, says, “I’m delighted tobe supporting National Doughnut Week again. I urge craft bakers and coffee shops across the UK to take part this year and help raise money for The Children’s Trust, a special charity that is celebrating its 30th anniversary. I hope, too, that the general public will get behind this enjoyable fundraising week, and treat their family, friends andwork colleagues to a doughnut treat.”
