Bon appetit from Mrs Tilly

Larbert based family business Tilly Confectionery – manufacturers of the Mrs Tilly’s range of traditional Scottish tablet, fudge and macaroon – have secured a contract that will see them launch their range of five Scottish 150g fudge products across the French market in April.
With Mrs Tilly’s products now a firm favourite of consumers at home, recent years have seen the company begin to explore new international markets as demand for quality Scottish products has grown.

The company’s recent export developments have included launches in Canada, Germany, Switzerland and the USA and this latest new market launch forms part of an overall strategic sales drive by this ambitious Scottish family business.

Commenting on this latest venture, joint managing director Peter Paterson, comments: “Recent export successes have allowed us to recognise the potential of our products in global markets and we have worked closely with agencies including Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International and Scotland Food & Drink, to develop a strategy for introducing our brand to new international markets & consumers”.

“We are committed to developing our business not only at home but on the international stage and we are proudly taking our deliciously indulgent Mrs Tilly’s Scottish ‘sweeties’ to a global audience.

“This latest launch into the French market is extremely exciting for us – and will see our products on the shelves of some of the biggest and best retailers across France – including Monoprix and E.Leclerc.”
