Keeping the kids busy

Kinder is launching a new promotion ‘Make your little one’s art famous’, starting this month, which will run across all Kinder Chocolate products until the end of August. The campaign embraces the established brand strapline ‘invented for kids, approved by mums’ by asking parents to encourage their kids to get creative for a chance to see themselves on the front of Kinder Chocolate packs across the UK.

Parents will be able to enter and upload their children’s portraits via a bespoke microsite at www.kinderchocolate.com. This new competition goes further than any previous campaign, with three tiers of prizes for entrants. First tier winners will have their photographs and art portraits printed on to Kinder Chocolate packaging from February 2016, second tier all the valid entries will be featured on a six-sheet digital panel in one high footfall location in both the UK and Ireland, and finally the third tier could win a colouring kit as part of the mop up draw.

Levi Boorer, customer development director, Ferrero comments: “The Kinder brand is one of our star performers and is a household name that parents trust, and their children love. Keeping people engaged with the brand with fresh new on pack promotions is a fantastic way to help our loyal retailers drive sales, particularly during the summer period when mums are looking for things to keep their children busy.”

Boorer concludes: “We know that on pack competitions encourage shoppers to engage with the brand. Following the success of our ‘Face of Kinder’ campaign, we are excited to see the consumer response to ‘Make your little one’s art famous’.”

The campaign will be highlighted through a bespoke TV tag, video on demand, digital and out of home. There will also be a range of point of sale materials to enable retailers to maximise the in-store theatre around this campaign, including dumpbins and magazine hookovers. The free POS will be available online.
