Galaxy Duet expands with new large format
Mars Chocolate UK has expanded its Galaxy Duet range by adding a new large block format.
Available in cookies & cream, caramel & shortcake, and toffee & popcorn variants for an RRP of £1.39, the new format builds on the success of the Galaxy Duet singles which were launched over the last 12 months. The format is ideal for sharing and can be enjoyed separately or combined.
“As both treating and sharing occasions continue to become more popular with consumers, NPD remains a key driver of growth in the block category,” says Bep Dhaliwal, trade communications manager at Mars Chocolate UK.
According to Neilson data, large block new product development (NPD) accounted for 70% of NPD value sales in 2015.
In addition to a pack design, retailers can dial up in-store executions and displays around the new products using a range of POS solutions, including pre-filled and front-of-store options.
