Ice cream Chewits return
Confectionery brand Chewits is reintroducing its ice cream flavour chewy sweets in the UK following demand from consumers.
Parent brand Cloetta says Bobby’s Foods will start exclusively selling ice cream single cases to its 20,000 retail customers from next month. The collaboration, Cloetta adds, allows Chewits to ensure it is driving distribution in the impulse channel.
Ice cream Chewits are also available to trade in multipack formats.
Bev Rushbrook, commercial manager at Cloetta UK, says, “We’ve listened to our consumers in bringing back this blast from the past and we’ve got the right partner in Bobby’s to ensure we drive distribution in an important channel,” she explains.
The launch will be supported by a nationwide sampling campaign, as well as a number of consumer competitions and promotion across the brand’s social media platforms.
