Butterkist to debut new flavours

UK popcorn brand Butterkist has announced the release of two new flavours in a sharing bag format.

Butterkist Choc Mallow Popcorn (170g) and Butterkist Coconut and Raspberry Popcorn (160g) will both launch in the wholesale, convenience and grocery channels in September.

Anjna Mistry, senior brand manager at Butterkist, said, “Data shows that sweet variants are contributing to 40% of value growth within the popcorn market, which as a whole is currently growing 13.7% year on year.

“Butterkist is famous for sweet popcorn and we want to continue to lead this sector of the snacking market by developing appealing flavour combinations that resonate with consumers. Our two brand new flavours can help capitalise on the latest market trends to maximize sales for retailers.”

Both flavours will be available in single faced SRP case sizes of eight.
