Spar turns to Christmas

Retailer Spar has released its Christmas confectionery line up, including three of its best-selling festive impulse products.

The range includes: Spar Santa Claus 150g (RRP £1.50), Spar Milk Chocolate Gold Coins 75g (RRP 75p) and Spar Milk Chocolate Medallions 23g (RRP 50p).

The Christmas confectionery market has changed in convenience in recent years, with the emphasis on impulse seasonal lines rather than selection boxes.

Spar has also created limited edition Christmas packaging to draw attention to its seasonal products. The range will be available in stores from 24 October.

“Shoppers start looking out for everything they need for the festive season earlier and earlier,” said Spar UK brand director Susan Darbyshire. “That means retailers should also start planning for Christmas with a visible festive confectionery range, as soon as possible – ideally by the end of October.”
