Walkers announces flavour campaign

Snack brand Walkers has launched a sandwich inspired flavour campaign, featuring a TV advert and pop-up crisp sandwich shop.

Building on its partnership with Heinz to launch six limited edition flavours, including Bacon & Tomato Ketchup, Ham & Mustard and Cheese, Cucumber & Salad Cream, Walkers’ latest activity will offer consumers the chance to win £10,000 every week, as well as ‘sarnie’ themed prizes and free crisps.

The TV advert will launch on 1 September and feature brand ambassador Gary Lineker, as well as presenter Paddy McGuiness.

To support the campaign, Walkers will offer consumers the opportunity to buy tickets to visit the ‘Walkers Crisp Sarnie Club’ pop-up shop. Located in London and open from 8 September to 1 October, fans can take part in ‘Build Your Own Sarnie’ and taste a variety of crisp sandwiches.

Thomas Barkholt, marketing director at Walkers, said, “Our new ad and experience are great ways to drive further excitement behind our on-pack flavours promotion. The pop-up shop is a brand new concept or us and we are sure it will give consumers an unforgettable experience.”
