‘Gingerbread dudes’ and cool mint penguins among Gnaw’s star Christmas chocolates

A fun selection of Christmas creations has been unveiled by British chocolate business, including “gingerbread dudes,” puds and cool mint penguins to spice up festive celebrations, writes Neill Barston.
As the company noted, for some the height of treating can mean rattling red boxes of malt balls, or triangular nougat-peppered chocolate, or other milk-chocolate novelties.
But for its part, Gnaw has sought to put some extra festive theatre under the Christmas tree, which is why they insisted on creating a series of extra fun characters that come to life by championing an array of truly compatible full-bodied flavours.
“It’s not rocket science,” insists Gnaw spokesperson, Josh Patterson: “To our way of thinking Ginger Dudes should taste of gingerbread, Christmas Puds should conjure up happy family memories of a fruity, lightly spiced dessert whilst Toy Nutcracker Soldiers should shout peanuts & popcorn. As for the Cool-Mint Penguins well it would be rude to look beyond peppermint.”
Using sublime Colombian chocolate as a velvety smooth canvas for magical, larger-than-life flavours has always been central to the wider Gnaw story and over the festive period that goes double!
The range includes 6x30g (180g) £12 ($15.81) RSP: Ginger Dudes, Cool-Mint Penguins, Peanut & Popcorn Nutcracker Soldiers, 8x14g Podgy Christmas Puds (112g) £11 ($14.49). Furthermore, this year Gnaw’s festive collection also includes Apple Strudel & A Cherry Almond Tart.
