Bebeto streamlines product range

Confectioner Bebeto is planning changes to its range in order to create a more compelling offering to the sector.

From 1 December, the Bebeto 250g range, which includes Strawberry Pencils, Laces and Trunks and Blue Raspberry Laces and Assorted Fruit Twists, will be available in a shelf ready pack of 12, marked at £1 and available at a wholesale sale price (WSP) of £6.99. The 210g range of Worms, Mix, Cheesecakes and Ice Creams will move to case sizes of ten, also priced at a £1 with a WSP of £5.89.

Next year will also see the addition of two new flavours to the 210g range, Water Melon and Fruit Salad, both of which have performed well in alternative pack sizes and which Bebeto feel will complement and enhance the UK range.

Paul Simpson, UK commercial director at Bebeto, says, “Our aim is to encourage overall brand growth through providing pack sizes and prices that will encourage both retailer and consumer trial and thus begin to deliver growth and increased distribution.

“As a relatively new brand operating in the UK we recognise the need to ensure we are offering our wholesale customers the right range to make Bebeto stand out as a strong proposition.”
