Artisan chocolatier extends dark chocolate range

Northern Ireland-based artisan chocolatier Cobden and Brown has added a 60% cocoa dark chocolate with tangerine product to its portfolio.

The new 100g bar is produced from Forastero cocoa beans infused with a hint of tangerine. The product is free from gluten, egg and wheat and suitable for coeliacs and vegetarians.

Chocolatier Caroline McArdle, who launched the business in 2001, says the development was influenced by “growing demand from consumers for such products.”

Cobden and Brown maintains that all of its chocolates are produced without any processed ingredients and are handmade in small batches.

McArdle says, “We have total control over the sourcing of all ingredients and the entire production process.”

The existing range of luxury chocolates includes milk chocolate, dark and white bars.
