Fruit Bowl announces launch of new Dino Yogurt Eggs

Building on the success of its Unicorn Fruit Flakes launch, leading UK children’s snack brand Fruit Bowl is adding to its treats range with new SKU, Dino Yogurt Eggs. The brand’s first product launch in 2020 will see juicy raisins covered with its signature yogurt in three natural colours and marbled to provide a speckled effect.

With packaging inspired by dinosaurs, from dinosaur footprints on the front of pack, to individual serving sized bags featuring different characters, Fruit Bowl’s new Dino Yogurt Eggs are the next step in the company’s ongoing mission to make fruit fun.  Clearly communicating Fruit Bowl’s treat messaging, as well as its real fruit promise, the packaging features bright colours and captions such as “frightfully tasty” on each of the individual bags. The real fruit treats are “excavated” in the UK and designed to help families with children of primary school age (4-10 years) bridge the gap between mealtimes.

Susanne Fraser, group marketing manager for Fruit Bowl, said: “Ahead of the launch of Dino Yogurt Eggs, we’ve listened to our customers and conducted significant research into what parents want. This showed key insights into a need for ease, convenience, portioning and great tasting, real fruit products that engage children on their level too. We know, as parents ourselves, that we want to offer the very best items that our children will realistically eat, which is why we have created Dino Yogurt Eggs – a product made to keep both parents and children happy!”

In its January 2020 survey, which looked at children’s fruit and vegetable consumption, Fruit Bowl found that though children consumed up to 15 snacks each week, parents estimated that only around half of these are healthy snacks, such as fruit-based snacks and raw veg, while the rest are sweets, crisps and chocolate. With the new launch, Fruit Bowl said it wants to give parents further fruit-based options, providing more choice at snack times.

The Dino Yogurt Eggs will be available in multipacks containing five 20g packets and retail at £2.00 RRP.

They will initially launch into Morrisons this week, with Waitrose following on 28 September, and customers are also able to order directly from the Fruit Bowl website.
