KitKat expands ice cream offerings
KitKat has expanded its ice cream range for 2021 to meet the increased demand in at-home family snacking. The range now features the new KitKat Tub and the KitKat Cone, which has secured further retail listings, as well as its popular KitKat Stick which has had a recipe refresh.
Adding value at the family dessert occasion and bringing a family favourite brand into Super Premium Tubs at an accessible everyday price point is the new KitKat Tub (pictured above). The tub is filled with chocolate and wafer flavour ice creams swirled together with crunchy wafer pieces mixed throughout. RRP £3.00 for 480ml and available in supermarkets now.
Cones are the most popular choice within ice cream for dessert at family dinner and the KitKat Cone (below) is destined to be an after dinner family favourite. It consists of creamy vanilla ice cream in a crunchy cone filled with more ice cream and topped with a KitKat finger and chocolate sauce. KitKat Cone is now available in Tesco supermarkets with a retail price of £3.50 for a pack of 4.
Completing the range, the KitKat Stick (below) is now made using a new recipe. This individual treat features the same chocolate and wafer ice creams as the tub, this time coated in creamy milk chocolate and crunchy wafer pieces. The updated recipe KitKat Stick is now available in supermarkets with an RRP or £3.00 for a pack of 4.
Brunhilde van Antwerp, UK head of marketing at Froneri comments, “People have slowed down over the last 12 months, adapting to a new way of life and spending more time than ever with their family. KitKat ice cream plays a unique role at family mealtimes and we believe that this new range adds real value to the category and broadens the choice of treats for the whole family to enjoy.”
