Panda launches new vegan chocolate liquorice

Award winning, leading confectionery brand Panda Liquorice is to add a new vegan chocolate coated liquorice product to their already impressive line up of products which will be available in health food stores from September. The bag of soft liquorice bites covered in creamy vegan friendly, rainforest alliance certified chocolate is made with natural flavours following suit with the brands positioning. The liquorice under the chocolate coating is the famous liquorice made with just four ingredients as keeping ingredients to a minimum has always ran close to the heart of panda liquorice along with its slow traditional cooking methods to deliver exceptional tasting confectionery. Panda have been producing liquorice since 1927 at the factory in Jyvaskyla in Finland where it continues to be the largest liquorice brand on the market.

Lisa Gawthorne, director at Bravura Foods who distribute the brand in the UK comments “It’s an exciting first for Panda innovating in a chocolate liquorice product. The new product is made with rice milk making it suitable for the vegan market and it’s a real novelty as a lot of chocolate coated products aren’t necessarily vegan friendly.”

Karl Morris, director at Bravura Food adds “The brand is so iconic and this new line tastes amazing and we are confident it will be a hit with consumers.”

The product will be launched initially online with Holland and Barrett and the health food sector in September in 110g at a price of £2.99. For more information, please email [email protected].
