Candy Kittens certifies as a B Corporation

Candy Kittens, the UK’s fastest growing confectionary brand has been certified as a B-Corp by the not-for-profit B-Lab.

Candy Kittens are the first sugar confectionary brand to be given the certification, which shines a light on businesses that meet the highest environmental and social standards. Candy Kittens now join a global group of leading companies that believe in using their business as a force for good.

The detailed assessment covers every aspect of the business, putting importance on their governance and relationships with their customers and suppliers. Amongst this, it recognises their carbon neutral commitments and ongoing charity support. The acknowledgement cements the brand’s commitment to helping consumers live sustainably, whilst highlighting the importance of protecting the planet, all without the use of animal derived products.

Founded in 2012, Candy Kittens threw out the confectionary rulebook and created a brand specifically for grown-ups, free from rules and free from compromise. Now a household favourite – Candy Kittens offers three confectionary ranges and nine different flavours of sweets. Candy Kittens sweets are made with honest ingredients, palm oil free, animal gelatine free and packed in carbon neutral, recyclable packaging.

Jamie Laing, co-founder, Candy Kittens comments: “We launched with a clear mission to shake-up the sweet game. Ten years later, we’ve seen first hand the good, the bad and the ugly of the business world. Simply making the best sweets is no longer enough. Moving forward, we are determined to put people and the planet first at every step of the way. B Corp is a seal of approval that we are meeting the highest possible standards of social and environmental performance, and our commitment to use this business as a force for good.”
