New Kerplunk Kandy Grape Flavour now available at 7-Eleven

The new Kerplunk Kandy Grape flavor is taking center stage at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide

7-Eleven, Inc. has introduced a new, exclusive Slurpee drink flavour: Kerplunk Kandy Grape. The flavour was developed in collaboration with the band Green Day and the creative brand Punk Bunny, and is inspired by Green Day’s 1992 album Kerplunk!. The drink combines cotton candy and grape flavours and is now available at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations across the US.

In addition, three new Punk Bunny coffee varieties are being launched as part of an ongoing collaboration between 7-Eleven and Green Day. Following the 2024 release of the first Punk Bunny Coffee, the new offerings include Mike Dirnt’s Turn Up the Bass Medium Roast, Punk Bunny Cold Brew Caramel Latte, and Chocolate Almond Speciality Latte. These are also available at participating stores for a limited time.

“Our first launch with Green Day and Punk Bunny was so exciting for customers because they loved seeing music and coffee culture collide in such a unique way,” said Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president, chief marketing and sustainability officer at 7-Eleven, Inc. “Now, we’re channeling that same punk spirit into our iconic Slurpee drink. Kerplunk Kandy Grape is rooted in the band’s story, and we can’t wait for fans to experience this one-of-a-kind flavor.”

To mark the launch of the new Slurpee flavour, select stores are offering limited-edition drink accessories. These include collectible cups and custom straws with integrated Bluetooth speakers. Each cup features a QR code that links to a Spotify playlist curated by Green Day.

“I have great memories of getting Slurpee drinks with my friends. It’s always perfect on a good day or even a bad one. Being able to create our own custom Punk Bunny flavor and bring it to everyone across the country has been an amazing moment,” shares Billie Joe Armstrong.

To recognise Green Day’s connection to Hollywood, customers in Los Angeles who purchase the Kerplunk Kandy Grape Slurpee drink can use their cup or receipt for entry to the Kerplunk Kandy Speakeasy – an exclusive 7-Eleven x Punk Bunny pop-up event. The experience will take place on Saturday, 3 May and Sunday, 4 May from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 6501 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028. Attendees will be able to sample new products, access complimentary apparel customisation, and purchase limited-edition merchandise. The first 100 visitors each day will receive free items to personalise, including T-shirts, tote bags, and hats.
