Ritter Sport expands US retail presence and announces strategic investment

Ritter Sport, a German chocolate manufacturer known for its square-shaped bars, is expanding its retail presence in the US market. The company announced plans to scale distribution and introduce new product formats, supported by a $100 million investment over the coming years.
As part of this expansion, Ritter Sport products will become more widely available across major US retailers, including CVS, Albertsons Companies, Raley’s and Walmart. The brand is also increasing its product offerings at World Market. These developments are intended to broaden accessibility and reflect rising consumer interest in premium chocolate options.
Two new formats – Ritter Sport Minis and Choco Cubes – are being introduced to the US market to align with evolving snacking preferences.
- Ritter Sport Minis are smaller, bite-sized versions of existing bestsellers, such as Alpine Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate with Whole Hazelnuts.
- Choco Cubes are individually wrapped, filled chocolates designed for portion-controlled snacking, featuring flavours like chocolate mousse and double caramel.
These new products are rolling out in stand-up bags and seasonal sets, with retailers such as Raley’s already launching the formats across their store network.
