My/Mochi™ introduces Mochi Ice Cream Sandwiches

My/Mochi, a leading producer of mochi ice cream, has announced the launch of its first mochi ice cream sandwich products. The new single-serve treats will be available exclusively on Gopuff starting the week commencing 21 July, aligning with National Ice Cream Day on July 20.

Each sandwich combines a mochi ice cream center with two soft cookies, blending multiple textures in a single frozen dessert. The initial release includes two varieties:

• Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream & Sugar Cookie

• Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream & Chocolate Chip Cookie

Both offerings are gluten-free and will be sold as 2.45-ounce, individually wrapped items at a suggested retail price of $2.99.

The product was developed in response to growing consumer interest in novel food textures and formats, particularly among younger demographics.

“Gen Z consumers often engage with food in highly creative and sensory ways,” said Brigette Wolf, chief marketing officer at My/Mochi. “This new format expands how we deliver mochi and reflects a broader innovation strategy focused on evolving consumer preferences.”

Gopuff, a digital commerce platform specializing in rapid delivery, will serve as the exclusive launch partner. The mochi ice cream sandwiches will first be offered to Gopuff’s FAM members as part of a National Ice Cream Day promotion.

According to Gopuff, orders for frozen snack items such as “chunks, bites, and dough” have increased 220% year-to-date in 2025, indicating a shift toward smaller, more convenient frozen desserts.

“We’ve seen strong demand for single-serve frozen treats,” said Carly Bickerstaff, vice president of merchandising at Gopuff. “This partnership with My/Mochi aligns with our goal of providing customers with early access to new and interesting products.”

This launch follows a series of product innovations from My/Mochi aimed at diversifying its lineup. Recent additions have included limited-edition flavors and new texture-based combinations, such as Lemon Cheesecake and fruit-based sorbets.
