Pom-Bear is repeating a Halloween limited edition that was successful in 2012 – Spooky Pickled Onion flavour.

Consumer feedback on Spooky Picked Onion was strong in 2012, with many favourable blogs and posts to Pom-Bear’s Facebook page, including comments such as: “If your kids are into Halloween they will love it” and “The pickled onion taste is very good … not too strong …. quite sweet …. great for kids of all ages.”

The 2013 pack design again features the cuddly hero Pom-Bear in his Halloween party gear complete with Dracula fangs. The pack also incorporates some clever new technology to link back to the Pom-Bear Facebook page where there are handy tips for Halloween parties and the chance to win Halloween themed goodies. Using a free app called Packlinc, the pack can be scanned for a secret link hidden within the pack graphics – not unlike a QR code but embedded within the pack design.

Marketing manager for Pom-Bear, Steve Harger, said: “We had such a fantastic response to this product last year that it made sense to release it again for 2013.  Pom-Bear consumers are very loyal to the brand and interested in its products and the opportunities for consumer interaction through social networking are an increasingly helpful part of the research we use to inform brand development.”

He added: “Research shows that Halloween is now the second biggest snacking occasion after Christmas. The exceptional growth of seasonal Pom-Bear in 2012 over 2011 underlines the tremendous expansion of this event in the retail calendar and we expect another spookily successful Halloween this year!”

Pom-Bear Spooky Pickled Onion is available as a 6x19g multipack (RRP £1.59)
