Krave, leading producer of culinary-style meat and protein snacks, has released its first meat-free product in the form of plant-based jerky.
The jerky is made from peas and fava beans and each bag is made with eight grams of protein per serving.

Krave’s new offering comes in two flavours: Korean BBQ and Smoked Chipotle.
Krave believes its new jerky is perfect for flexitarians looking to incorporate more plant-based food into their diets.
Jimmy McClain, Krave’s brand manager, commented: “We heard time and time again. “I really love Krave, but I’m actively trying to reduce my meat consumption.” The demand was clearly there – it was just a matter of being able to develop a plant-based product that delivered the same taste, texture and nutritional value as Krave Gourmet Cuts.
“Krave Plant-Based Jerky does just that and we are happy to say we’ve come out with a plant-based product that signs with our goals of being the best in the category.”
