UK chocolate brand Prodigy has launched two new bars with the slogan ‘Eat No Evil’, as the products are crafted to have less than half the sugar compared to mainstream alternatives.

Prodigy’s two new bars, Coconut Cahoots and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots, will join the Chunky Chocolate and Chunky Orange Chocolate with Baobab bars the brand launched in Summer 2019. Each bar is vegan, made with natural ingredients like raw cacao and contains up to 30% of the daily recommenced intake of fibre.

Coconut Cahoots features a chocolate coating with a coconut centre and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots is also coated with chocolate, with a peanut, sweet caramel and nougat centre. The 45g bars have an RRP of £1.75.

“Refined sugars and energy slumps are out and nutrient rich ingredients are in, all without compromising everything we love about chocolate,” says Sameer Vaswani, founder of Prodigy Snacks. “I’ve spent a lifetime in the business of chocolate and I’ve seen the good, the bad and quite honestly, the evil ingredients and unhealthy processes that exist in so many chocolate snacks available today.

“It’s time for a chocolate revolution and Prodigy Snacks is reinventing chocolate for the mainstream market. It’s a rebirth of how chocolate should have been made – we are taking the classics we all grew up with and making them better for you and better for the planet.”

The brand is also seeking to be better for the planet; its bars are wrapped in plastic-free compostable packaging made from plant-based materials.

To celebrate the launch its Cahoots Bars, Prodigy has a new mascot, the ‘4th Monkey’ of ‘Eat No Evil’, adding to the well-known three wise monkeys proverb of ‘See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil’.

Coconut Cahoots and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots are available to order online and in bulk now from prodigysnacks.com and Amazon.
