Flyers introduces first non-liquorice Sour Stick

Stockley’s Flyers, a confectionery brand established in 1946, has launched its first non-liquorice product: a sour apple stick with a raspberry sherbet centre. The new product marks a departure from the company’s traditional focus on liquorice-based sweets, which currently account for 15% of the UK liquorice market.

The move comes as sour flavours remain a growing trend in the sugar confectionery sector. Flyers’ new offering is intended to appeal to consumers who do not favour liquorice, as well as to younger demographics.

Flyers has experienced three consecutive years of double-digit growth and continues to expand its product range both in the UK and internationally.
