Ice cream maker shortlisted again
Further to its recent shortlist success in the Taste of Excellence Award in Dairy category of The Cream Awards, Vale of York, North-East England ice cream maker Yorvale is celebrating after learning that it has been shortlisted for another prestigious award.
Acaster Malbis based Yorvale has beaten stiff competition to reach the final of the York Press Small Business of the Year award. One of only 39 businesses and individuals that were selected from hundreds of entries, the team at the farm based family business will now be visited by judges to decide the winners who will be announced at a glamorous black-tie event at York Racecourse on 21 November.
Commenting on the success, Yorvale’s director Lesley Buxton said: “We’re very proud to have been shortlisted for this prestigious local award in what has been an amazingly busy year. We face tough competition in the final, but hope that we can impress the judges with our new frozen yogurt brand,Yoryog and our exemplary quality control systems when they come to visit.”
Yorvale’s range of dairy ice cream, Yoryog and sorbets are available nationwide via selected wholesalers and from farm shops, independent retailers, Waitrose, Booths, Asda, Tesco and Morrisons throughout Yorkshire.
