Milk chocolate gummy sweets arrive in US

Confectionery company Baron Chocolatier has unveiled its latest product: milk chocolate covered gummy bears.

The gummy bears are available in four flavours: strawberry, lemon, green apple and orange, encased in milk chocolate and are made with natural ingredients, including colouring from natural sources, real fruit juice, GMO-free, zero trans fats and certified Kosher and Halal. To ensure the Kosher and Halal requirements, the gelatin source for the gummy bears do not come from animal products.

They are sold at Walmart stores across the US, retailing at $1.48 per 3oz bag. This is the first Baron Chocolatier product sold at the major retailer.

“Kids and adults love gummy bears, and we do too, but in our opinion, everything’s better with chocolate so it’s the best of both worlds,” said Chris Mattina, senior vice president and general manager at Baron Chocolatier.
