UB launches new snacks promotion

United Biscuits UK is targeting rugby fans this autumn with a new McCoy’s promotion that aims to drive sales for retailers. The new promotion will offer consumers the chance to win a rugby holiday to New Zealand, significant discounts off sporting goods and introduce two limited edition flavours to the ‘Man Crisps’ range.

 

The promotion will be featured across both McCoy’s multi-packs and handy packs from mid-August. The two new rugby-themed limited edition McCoy’s flavours will be Pickled Scrumion and Ruck of Rubs, available from August in 50g handy packs at an MRRP of 66p.

George Johnston, bagged snacks marketing director, UBUK, comments, “During last year’s World Cup, McCoy’s sales were up 23% helped by two limited edition flavours, demonstrating that strong, limited edition flavours and a very desirable sporting-themed prize always go down well with McCoy’s loyal fans and these two flavours have proved very popular in research. We’d advise retailers to get stocked up early to capitalise on the extra sales that the new promotion will generate.”
