Gist reaches finals of Supply Chain Awards
Gist’s supply chain and people programmes have been recognised by reaching the final short-list in both the Retail Week Supply Chain Awards and the CILT UK Achievement Awards 2011 in four categories.
Gist’s approach to the EAT supply chain has been recognised by being short-listed as the Supply Chain Project of the Year in The Retail Week Supply Chain Awards 2011.
Alongside the team at EAT, Gist has addressed a range of existing challenges and has transformed the supply chain by consolidating a range of disparate supply chains into a single logistics operation, optimising and reducing transport routes, improving safety for drivers and store employees, and dramatically reducing store complaints.
In addition, Gist has been shortlisted for Supply Chain Technology for the development of GistDXS, a first in dynamic multi-nodal transport planning that is used for optimising transport for a number of food retailers.
