Ginsters launches Vegan Quorn Sausage Roll
Cornish pastry brand Ginsters has released a vegan sausage roll made with Quorn filling.
The roll is aimed at flexitarians as well as vegans.
Ginster’s managing director, Kieran Hemsworth, commented: “The days of having to give up favourite foods in order to honour vegan or flexitarian diets are long gone. It’s no longer taste versus diet – you can have the best of both worlds.”
The new product launch, which comes just over a year after the Greggs vegan sausage roll release, marks the second collaboration between Quorn and Ginsters, following the successful launch of the brands’ vegan pasty in 2019.
Andy Smith, Quorn’s director of business development, said: “We’ve been blown away by the amazing response that we have received for our Ginsters Vegan Quorn Pasty. It has won fans among both vegans and vegetarians, as well as those simply cutting down on their meat intake.
Teaming up with Ginsters to extend the partnership and create a Vegan Quorn Sausage Roll was a natural and exciting progression.”
The Vegan Quorn Sausage Roll will be available in Co-op stores from 15 April 2020, with an RRP of £1.25.
