Frito-Lay Variety Packs invites fans to ‘unbox the icons’ in new competition

Frito-Lay Variety Packs is joining forces with three world-famous stars to launch “Unbox the Icons”; a new competition.

To kick off the campaign, Frito-Lay Variety Packs tapped the actor and television host, Mario Lopez, as well as the cookbook author and entrepreneur, Martha Stewart, to curate their own signature Frito-Lay Variety Pack Iconic Boxes filled with their favourite things including Frito-Lay snacks.

Ten winners will receive one of Mario’s Iconic Boxes, which will include:

  • Funyuns Flamin’ Hot Onion Flavoured Rings, Doritos Spicy Nacho Cheese Flavoured Tortilla Chips, Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Limon Cheese Flavoured Snacks
  • Mario’s favourite hot sauce
  • Wireless headphones and one year Spotify Premium subscription
  • “Unbox the Icons” branded bucket hat, chip clips and pins
  • Fujifilm instant camera with refill cartridges

An additional ten winners will receive one of Martha’s Iconic Boxes, which will include:

  • Ruffles Original Potato Chips, Lay’s Sour Cream & Onion Flavoured Potato Chips, Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream Flavoured Potato Chips
  • $150 gourmet steak gift card
  • A signed copy of Martha’s American Food cookbook
  • Sur La Table canister of gourmet sea salt and cooking class voucher for two
  • Branded “Unbox the Icons” apron, chip clips and pins

As an extra part of the campaign, Frito-Lay Variety Packs has teamed up with R&B singer, Mark Morrison, to reimagine his 90s hit, “Return of the Mack” in a new television advert.
