Stockley’s has reintroduced Treacle Toffee, also known as Bonfire Toffee, a traditional sweet associated with Victorian-era Guy Fawkes celebrations.

This product is part of the company’s broader effort to revisit classic confectionery with simplified ingredient lists.

A spokesperson for Stockley’s, Andy Valentine, said, ‘So many sweets these days offer an endless inventory of hard to decipher ingredients. We wanted to prioritise a close-knit huddle of yesteryear classics with a short, easy-to-comprehend ingredient decks. We also wanted to champion a range of unrushed, ‘me-time’ sweets heroes that would be savoured not devoured; unhurried cult favourites that could be shared amongst friends and family, bringing back memories of old-school sweet shops and newsagents with their never-enticing displays of full-to-brimming glass jars.’

Stockley’s, which has over a century of confectionery production experience, continues to offer a range of long-established products, including Lemon Sherbets, Chocolate Limes, Pear Drops and Cola Cubes.

RRP: £1.49
