Luxury Easter egg
Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthaal has joined forces with Waitrose to create a luxury Easter egg. The egg will be a limited edition with only 8000 being made.
The dark chocolate eggs are made with Waitrose Seriously 65% dark chocolate and are hand sprayed with chocolate to give a velvet effect. Inside there are six mandarin ganache chocolate filled speckled hen eggs on a nest of vanilla flavour edible shredded paper.
Chris Moore, buyer at Waitrose says, “Premium Easter Eggs are rising in popularity, so it was definitely the time to introduce a Heston from Waitrose egg. We’ve been working with Heston for over a year to create an egg that will really stand out from the crowd. There’s nothing else quite like it!”
Heston Blumenthal says, “Crack it open and there’s a surprise inside – mini eggs with a fruity mandarin ganache centre, sitting in their own edible nest. HAPPY EASTER!”
The 275g Heston from Waitrose Easter egg will retail at £20.
