Ice cream team expands

Three new recruits have joined York ice cream manufacturer Yorvale, based in Acaster Malbis, in production and delivery, taking the total number of employees to 11.

The new employees are delivery driver Philip Kneen and production operative assistants Darren Nicholson and Shane-Paul Southren, who all join Yorvale from backgrounds in food production.

Yorvale director Ian Buxton says: “They are doing very well and we are pleased they fit in well with the team.”

Mr Kneen, who lives near Selby, says: “Yorvale is a friendly working environment and I feel like a valued member of the team.”

Mr Southren, from Poppleton, has spent 26 years in food manufacturing and said working for Yorvale means being part of a growing and respected business while Mr Nicholson said everyday is different because you are not tied down to one job.
