Duo of pastries launched

Pidy is launching a new and improved gluten free range, which includes an 8.5cm neutral and sweet pastry that is twice as deep, making it ideal for a large variety of fillings. The new pastry cases are straight sided, giving them an authentic homemade feel. The Pidy team has gone to great lengths to ensure that there are no compromises in taste or quality between the gluten free and non-gluten free pastry.

Robert Whittle, general manager at Pidy UK, says “After receiving a lot of useful feedback on our last gluten free range, we wanted to take it one step further. We refined the recipe so that those opting for gluten free pastries don’t miss out on the great taste and quality of our products; it’s an incredible leap forward. The demand for free from products is growing with studies showing that the gluten free sector is the largest within the UK free from market.”

Pidy will also be launching new retail packs; the six new pastry products include deliciously light profiteroles, a buttery 22cm ready to fill sweet pastry case, 12 mini cocktail shells, 12 mini vol au vents, nine neutral pastry cases and nine sweet pastry cases.
