A new name in confectionery

Merangz has unveiled a new company brand for its growing collection of gourmet food products. The business will be known as Flower & White under which Merangz – and its brother and sister brands Tweeners and Eggz – will sit.
Flower & White is a nod to the ingredients used, and how the Shropshire, UK-based company has blossomed over the last few years as a company. The first product five years ago was Tweeners – luxury sharing cakes. They were later joined by Merangz giants and Merangz bites – luxury meringues made with hand separated eggs. The growing collection also includes Eggz – ready to use free range liquid egg yolks for chefs, cooks and caterers – and a brand new range of premium desserts is currently in development.
The company was launched by husband and wife team Brian and Leanne Crowther. Originally known as The Little Round Cake Company – it started with a stand at a local Shropshire market and cake baking at home; the brand is now nationally recognised. The range of products is still made to the same high standards and with top quality ingredients – just with more hands, including those that hand separate all of the local free range eggs used for their Merangz and Eggz. The company has also picked up a number of prestigious awards including a Great Taste gold star and Best Food Product at Caffè Culture 2015 for their Merangz bites.
Leanne Crowther says: “The new name tells our story – and encompasses everything that we do. The company really has blossomed like a flower, and also the ingredients that we use are all white – egg whites, flour, sugar, icing and cream. It just seemed the natural choice. This is a new chapter in our journey – and we are really excited about the future of Flower & White.”
