Whitworths TV campaign

Whitworths has announced the launch of its first ever TV campaign.

The campaign focused on the Sunny Raisin product, will run from the 10 August for five weeks to coincide with the school holidays and the back to school period.

Airing across Disney, Nick Jnr, Boomerang and CITV, the advert will feature an animated character called Sunny, highlighting the brand’s popular raisin range of the same name.

The Sunny Raisin range currently constitutes 14% of the brand’s total sales in the children’s snacking category and 9.4% of total UK sales of such products.

The children’s dried fruit snacking market in the UK is currently worth in excess of £89m allowing for considerable scope for impulse purchases at the till.

Whitworth’s decision to introduce the Sunny Raisin advert is testament to its commitment to capitalise on the trend towards healthier snacking in a competitive environment, and to expand within both the child and adult categories.
