Tangerine closes factory

UK firm, Tangerine Confectionery plans to close its smallest factory in Poole and transfer manufacturing of its sweet products to its other sites. Up to 75 staff will be fired in the process.
The company has said that the decision will enable Tangerine to remain competitive by maximising its production capacities.
The site, which currently manufactures gums, jellies and foam products for own label purposes, is expected to close by March 2013.
