Strategy to expand

Artisan British chocolate brand Choc on Choc has appointed Julian Clarke as sales director in a move that is central to the company’s strategy to expand market share in the UK.
Clarke has worked in the confectionery industry for almost a decade, with four and a half and five years at House of Dorchester and Candyking respectively. Prior to this, Clarke operated as a retail buyer and will use this wealth of experience to support Choc on Choc in accelerating its expansion after 11 years of double digit growth.
Choc on Choc sells its extensive range of Belgian chocolates through its website as well as with select retail partners. Clarke’s task will be to grow existing accounts in addition to securing new listings for the brand. With a track record of growing business with stockists including John Lewis, Tesco and Harrods, Clarke knows a thing or two about keeping high profile clients sweet.
Choc on Choc MD and founder Flo Broughton says “Choc on Choc’s appointment of Julian Clarke as sales director is key to the company’s growth strategy. In the 11 years that we have been trading, the business has experienced double digit expansion.
“Clarke will now work with the team to increase the number of retailers that our products are stocked at as well as growing the amount that we are trading through existing stockists. His appointment marks an exciting period in the business’ development.”
