Irish fudge moves to toffees

Blackthorn Foods, a Northern Ireland fudge business, has launched a new chocolate under its established ‘Melting Pot’ brand.
The company, based in Belfast, has introduced a Six Creamy Toffee pack featuring Twice Coated Belgian Chocolate. The new product has been introduced in 50g packs, the same format as the company’s popular range of fudges.
The new product follows Blackthorn’s introduction last year of a range of gluten-free, soya-free and non-dairy fudge packs.
Blackthorn Foods, run by three sisters, has won a series of UK Great Taste Awards for its extensive range of fudge products under ‘Melting Pot’.
The company specialises in traditional production techniques. The products continue to be handmade using their own recipes. No additives, trans fats or preservatives are used in the production process.
