UK’s leading Pretzel brand expands its range

UK pretzel giant, Penn State Snacks, launches a new range of popcorn and pretzel flavours this summer. In what is a highly competitive market, the brand is performing strongly with sales values up 11% on last year.
Air popped Sweet & Salt (80g) and Monterey Jack Cheese (80g) popcorn flavours will be hitting the market this summer, along with the Spicy Tomato & Chorizo Pretzels (175g). Due to high demand, Penn State Snacks is also re-launching the popular Worcester Sauce Pretzels in share size 175g packs as well as handy 30g packs.
Steve Harger, from Intersnack, the company behind the Penn State brand says, “This is an exciting time of expansion for us as we launch our brand new line of popcorn and pretzel flavours. We are committed to meeting the needs of the consumer and driving forward growth throughout 2011 and beyond and we would urge retailers to stock up on these guilt-free products.”
The growth will continue later into the year with the introduction of the only bottom coated milk chocolate pretzels on the market, as well as an addition to the seasonal range with the festive Gammon & Mustard Pretzels.
