Hershey reworks syrup favourite

Confectionery giant The Hershey Company has launched its new Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup, made with five simple ingredients.

It prides itself on containing no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial preservatives and flavours, and is made from non-GMO ingredients.

The chocolate taste in the syrup comes from cocoa, water and natural flavour from real vanilla beans. Pure cane sugar and organic invert cane syrup, derived from sugar cane, give the syrup its signature taste, Hershey says.

Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup is available at US retailers for $3.29.
