Black Forest Organic kick off summer campaign

Ferrara Candy Company’s Black Forest Organic brand is bringing its gummy bears, The Organics, to life in the label’s first US marketing campaign.

Featuring in three episodes this summer, the gummy bears will tackle topics including family dinnertime, getting ‘enhancements’ and peer pressure in a reality-style web series.

“Our Black Forest Organic gummies are USDA (US Department of Agriculture) certified organic, certifiably delicious and totally real, with no artificial flavors or colors,” says Jill Manchester, SVP marketing and brand strategy at Ferrara Candy Company. “Giving our gummies their very own reality series was the perfect way to demonstrate just how real they are.”

Black Forest Organic candy is certified USDA Organic by Quality Assurance International, an authorised certifying agent. The USDA Organic seal indicates that the candy contains at least 95% organic ingredients and is made without the use of toxic persistent pesticides and GMOs.

The seal also requires organic candy to be made in its own dedicated manufacturing line to prohibit the commingling with non-organic products. The candy is gluten and fat free, with no artificial flavours and colours from natural sources like carrots, turmeric and red beets.

Available in four and six-ounce bags, the four-ounce organic candies retail at $0.90-1.39 per pack.
