Final countdown begins for returning ISM and ProSweets events

With less than two weeks to go until ISM and ProSweets, the momentum surrounding the two key shows is certainly gathering pace for what should prove enjoyable and revealing events.

Our latest edition of Confectionery Production out shortly is set to offer a comprehensive breakdown of what to expect from these confectionery, equipment and systems extravaganzas that are set to proceed despite challenging conditions as regards the ongoing pandemic.

According to latest figures from host nation Germany, the country recorded its highest total of covid figures, with a total of over 100,000 cases for the first time the other day. While this is indeed concerning, organisers of the two core trade fairs have gone to considerable lengths to offer as much reassurance as possible regarding its ‘3G hygiene measures’ that have won them an exemption from fresh legislation banning large general public gatherings.

Consequently, it’s likely that both the events will look and feel a little different this time around, with major names traditionally associated with the two events including Buhler, Barry Callebaut  Cama. Gerhard Schubert and Ishida to name a few not attending in an exhibiting capacity due to challenging business conditions, there’s still considerable hope that it will be ‘alright on the night.’

As a result, both shows are promising an unveiling of genuine innovations for the confectionery and snacks sectors, across finished product series and also in terms of machinery ranges, so we look forward to sharing those developments with you in due course. For now, if you have any areas, topics or news relating to either ISM or ProSweets, please let us know, as we aim to bring you the best and brightest coverage possible of these annual events as they return from a pandemic-enforced break.
