Oloves snacks launch new POS hang strips

Award-winning healthy snack brand Oloves has launched handy new hanging POS strips for pubs, cafés and other outlets that wish to serve up something special for their customers.

The flavoured green olives, which are sold in 30g packs, have around 50 calories per pack and are designed as a healthy gourmet snacking alternative to crisps and snacks.

Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, kosher approved, and with an 18-month shelf life, Oloves have proved popular in travel catering and are stocked on several airlines including Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines and Thomas Cook. They have won four awards – including a Mercury Award from the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA).

Now Brand Stand, the company behind the product, has launched new impulse pre-loaded hang strips for point of sale for Oloves. The hang strips help to showcase the liquid-free, foil-fresh packs, which each contain 12-14 pitted olives.

Oloves are available in four flavours. Tasty Mediterranean is a combination of green olives marinated in basil and garlic, while Light Hearted Vinaigrette features green olives marinated in a vinaigrette dressing. New for summer 2011 are Lemony Lover, a zesty blend of lemon pieces, oregano and a hint of garlic, and Red Hot Chilli Mama, a fiery mix of red hot habanero chillis and lemon pieces.

Preservative-free, the snacks are available in shelf ready boxes of 10 and bulk boxes of 300, with the option for pre-loaded hanging strips. Recommended retail price for a single pack is 0.79p to £1.
